The Xrosswater walkway, whether the FRP and Aluminium option offer an industrial strength bulk shippable floating walkway structure that is bulk shippable anywhere in the world. The product’s ingenious and patented design is multi-configurable, extremely versatile, immensely strong, light and made to last. All the components are pre-drilled to a precision of 0.5mm and crated ready for shipment.
Xrosswater’s product has been designed from over 20 years experience in the marine & mining industry. Our floating walkways are produced from FRP or aluminum with HDPE and laminated material. A simple to follow pictorial assembly guide is offered. The product maintains a buoyancy of up to 1000 kg per 3m section. On-site assembly set-up and training is offered.
Walkway Deck
Every floating walkway is equipped with a 12mm thick laminated marine deck, overlaid with a highly resistant
NON-SLIP abrasion resistance surface (Taber Test EN 438-2). Grey in color as used on ship decks to prevent
static as well as pedestrian bridges, scaffolding and truck beds, demonstrating the products strength, quality & weather resistance.
Aluminum Structur
The aluminum components are produced from up to 90% RECYCLED aluminum. There are many optional fittings
for our floating walkways; pipeline support, cables tray, width expansion to make platforms, handrails and light fittings.
Handrail structure (optional)
The handrails structure is a TUBE railing in bright safety yellow with black stanchions produced from FRP or a 10mm
stainless steel cable with stainless steel turnbuckles, coated in a thick bright safety yellow pvc.
Pipe support bracket (optional)
Pipe support brackets are available that attached to the side of the floating walkway. The brackets are located on
the outside edge of the walkway at deck level and can support a pipeline up to 300mm in diameter.
Any larger pipelines can be accommodated by being suspended from extended cross-members.
Assembly
Once assembled, each section is 3m x 1.5m. These sections can be assembled in different configurations.
Assembly is very fast and simple; 4-6 fitters can assemble up to 40 meters per day.
Bulk Shippable1 x 40ft (12m) container = 504 meters long x 1.5m wide.
1 x 20ft (6m) container = 250 meters long x 1.5m.
To ensure the Xrosswater system is resilient to all weather conditions we select different plastic raw material to thermoform the float. This ensures that in hot climates the float remains very rigid and doesn’t become soft due to the heat and in cold temperatures the float does not crack or shatter. The attached image illustrates our military testing instruments, in which we reduced the temperature down to – 42 degrees Fahrenheit and then proceeded to impact test the float up to 120kg from 5ft high. The test certificate is available upon request.
